the Gin Old Fashioned

It’s not just for whiskey.

Way before it became a whiskey drink, the old fashioned was made with gin. Ours adds Bootblack syrup, but we also like it with sugar and bitters; see both recipes below. 

Old Fashioned #1

• 2 oz Rhodium Gin

• 2 tsp Bootblack Old Fashioned Syrup

Stir in a rocks glass until combined, add ice. Garnish with orange twist.

Old Fashioned #2

• 2 oz Rhodium Gin

• 1 tsp sugar

• 3-4 dashes aromatic bitters

Muddle or stir sugar, bitters and a drop of water in teh bottom of a rocks glass until pasty or dissolved. Stir in gin until combined, add ice. Garnish with orange twist.
